  • Indiana won for the first time this season after its opponent scored first. The Hoosiers were previously 0-4 when their opponent scored first and 17-0 when they scored first. They had come from behind in only other game this season - overcoming a 2-1 deficit to defeat Boston University, 3-2 in the season opener Sept. 3.
  • Indiana improved to 13-4 in semifinal games. Sunday will be their 13th time in the NCAA Championship game. They have won six NCAA titles (1982, 1983, 1988, 1998, 1999, 2003) and will be attempting to win back-to-back titles for the third time in school history.
  • Indiana's overtime record in NCAA Tournament games is now 14-2 all-time and 6-2 in the College Cup.
  • Coming into today's game, Maryland was 10-0 when leading at the half and 14-1 when scoring first.
  • Maryland junior Jason Garey's first-half goal gave him the school record for most points in a season with 53.
  • The Terrapins dropped to 12-2-1 when Jason Garey scored a goal this year.
  • Maryland's Maurice Edu scored a goal in the second half for his first goal since the season opener. It was also Maryland's second goal directly off a corner kick this season.
  • Maryland dropped to 1-2-2 in overtime games this year.
