UCLA's victory raised its overall record to 7-5, 5-4 in the Pac-10. USC finished the regular season with a 10-2 record, 7-2 in the Pac-10. The Trojans won their fifth straight league title, the Bruins finished fourth.

UCLA senior All-American place kicker Justin Medlock kicked two field goals and made one extra point for a total of seven points, He has scored 104 points this season to become the 11th player in UCLA history to score 100 or more points in a season. For his career, he ranks second in scoring with 348 points.
