Paul George Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Junior outside hitter Paul George (Chatsworth, CA/Chatsworth HS) of the UCLA Men's Volleyball team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week (Apr. 24-30).

George led UCLA to the MPSF title, giving the Bruins an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament, which will be held May 4 and 6 at Penn State. George had 16 kills with a .464 attack percentage in the MPSF semifinal win over Pepperdine. He also recorded one ace, seven digs, one block assist and 17.5 points. In the MPSF title game against second-ranked Long Beach State, George again recorded 16 kills (.393 attack percentage) with two aces, four block assists and 20 points. UCLA has won 12-straight matches going into the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins will be making their 25th NCAA Tournament appearance.

This is George's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
