Bruin Duo Open Play in WNBA

Former UCLA women's basketball standouts Noelle Quinn and Darxia Morris will be in action this weekend as the start of the WNBA season approaches.

Morris, who led the Bruin team in scoring last season, is on the roster of the Tulsa Shock. The Shock will play a pre-season game on Sunday, May 29 at the Seattle Storm. Tulsa opens the regular season on June 4 with a game at San Antonio.

Quinn, who is in her fourth year in the WNBA, will see action with the Los Angeles Sparks on Sat., May 28 in a pre-season game against Phoenix to be played at the University of New Mexico. Quinn scored four points in the Sparks' first pre-season contest on May 25, a win over Seattle.

Los Angeles opens up the regular season on June 3 in the Staples Center against the Minnesota Lynx, who feature top-draft pick Maya Moore. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. and click on LASparks.com for ticket information.
