Hoffman, Sofia Named To PDL Team Of The Week

UCLA soccer players Chandler Hoffman and Joe Sofia were selected to the USL Premier Development League (PDL) Team of the Week for Week 1.
The duo led the Orange County Blue Star to a 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Legends on opening day last Sunday. Hoffman, a sophomore forward, scored two goals and recorded an assist, while Sofia, a freshman defender, helped the team earn the shutout while limiting the Legends to just three shots. Freshman Patrick Matchett also started in defense for the Blue Star.
In other PDL action last weekend, starters Andy Rose and Shawn Singh led the Ventura County Fusion to a 0-0 tie against the Fresno Fuego on Sunday.
