Senior catcher Stacey Nuveman (LaVerne, CA/St. Lucy's Priory HS) of the UCLA Softball Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Apr. 8-14.

Nuveman posted yet another impressive weekend in Pac-10 play, hitting .500 (3-for-6), including two solo home runs. She was walked five times, as she reached base eight of the 11 times she stepped to the plate in UCLA's three Pac-10 contests (.727 on-base percentage). For the week, Nuveman had a 1.500 slugging percentage, bringing her season slugging percentage to 1.036 overall and 1.263 in the Pac-10. With her two home runs this week, Nuveman now has 83 for her UCLA career, leaving her two shy of tying the NCAA career home run record.

For the week, Nuveman played and started in three games and was 3-for-6 with two runs scored, two home runs, two RBIs, five walks, a 1.500 slugging percentage and a .727 on-base percentage.

This is Nuveman's second UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and her career.
