Sophomore Jamie Dantzscher (San Dimas, Calif./San Dimas HS) of the UCLA Gymnastics Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 4-10.
Recording a career-best all-around total of 39.725, Dantzscher led 11th-ranked UCLA to a season-best total of 196.925 in a dual meet victory over seventh-ranked Stanford Feb. 10. In addition to her all-around victory, Dantzscher placed first on floor with her fourth consecutive perfect 10 and earned the uneven bars victory with a season-high tying 9.975. She also placed on vault with a 9.875 and set a new career high to tie for second on beam with a 9.875.
Dantzscher moved up to fourth the all-time school list for all-around score and increased her school record total for career perfect 10s with 12.
The 2000 U.S. Olympian is now ranked second nationally in the all-around and first on vault and bars.
This is Dantzscher's second UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and the third of her career.
