*With Cal scoring a field goal on its first possession, UCLA has not surrendered a touchdown on an opponent’s opening drive of a game this season.
*UCLA’s four turnovers (2 interceptions, 2 fumbles) against Cal equal the season-high also committed against Colorado.
*Cal’s 33 points scored tonight are the most allowed this season by the Bruins in a home game. The previous opponent high this season in the Rose Bowl Stadium was 17 by Washington State and Arizona State.
*After two turnovers by California, UCLA has forced at least one turnover in 25 of the past 28 games.
*Cal finished with 124 yards rushing to become the fourth team to surpass the 100 yard mark against the Bruins this season (also Utah-102, Oregon State-133, Arizona-129).
*Laiatu Latu had one tackle for loss to move into a tie with Kenyon Coleman (1997-2001) for 15th on UCLA’s career list with 34.0 and into a tie for fourth with Anthony Barr (2021) in single-season tackles for loss with 21.5.
*Latu picked off his second pass of the season in the second quarter. It was also his second career theft.
*Kamari Ramsey’s second-quarter interception was the first of his career.
*Logan Loya caught his fifth touchdown pass of the season in the second quarter. He also has scoring catches against San Diego State, Washington State, Oregon State and Arizona State in 2023. Loya, who had three scoring catches in 2022, now has eight career touchdown receptions.
*Loya had a career-high-tying nine catches to move into a tie for 17th on UCLA’s all-time list for single-season receptions with 58 (tied with Marcedes Lewis, 2005; Danny Farmer, 1998).
