- UCLA held its opponent scoreless in the first half for the first time since last season at Stanford (Oct. 21, 2023)

- LB Carson Schwesinger paced the Bruins with 12 tackles. It was his fourth consecutive contest with double-digit tackles. He’s led UCLA in total tackles in in five of six games this year.

- Schwesinger had a career-high two sacks on Saturday. They were his first two sacks of 2024. He entered the game with 1.0 career sacks on his resume.

- Schwesinger also had a career-high 4.5 tackles for loss (TFL), including 2.5 TFLs in the first half alone. The last UCLA player with 4.5 TFLs was Takk McKinley in 2016 vs. Utah.

- The Bruins limited Minnesota to 234 yards of total offense, the lowest total by a UCLA opponent this season (previously 278 at Hawai’i).

- UCLA held Minnesota to 41 rushing yards, the fewest allowed by the Bruins this season. The previous low was 51 (at Hawai’i).

- The Bruins allowed a season-low 193 passing yards to Minnesota. UCLA had previously held opponents under 250 yards at Hawai’I (227) and Penn State (237).

- WR J. Michael Sturdivant caught a 42-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. It was his first touchdown of 2024 and the 12th of his career.

- The 42-yard connection from QB Ethan Garbers to Sturdivant marked the Bruins’ longest touchdown pass of the season to date.

- Sturdivant also recorded season highs in receptions (7) and receiving yards (107). Sturdivant paced Bruin pass-catchers in both, the first time he’s done so in either statistic this season.

- Sturdivant’s 107 receiving yards were the most in a single game by a Bruin this season. It was UCLA’s second 100+ yard receiving performance of the year (Rico Flores, 102 yards at Hawai’i).

- RB T.J. Harden had a 32-yard reception in the second quarter. Paired with his 53-yard catch-and-run last week at Penn State, Harden has posted a 30+ yard reception in back to back contests.

- DL Siale Taupaki recorded his first-career sack.

- WR Carter Shaw drew his first-career start. He caught one pass for 18 yards.

- UCLA’s 7.0 TFLs were the team’s second-most of the year (11 at Hawai’i)

- UCLA’s 3.0 sacks as a team were the squad’s second-most this year (5.0 at Hawai’i)

- OL Tavake Tuikolovatu made his first-career start.

- OL Michael Carmody made his first-career appearance.

- Saturday marked the first time this season that UCLA scored first in a game.
