Cecil Hollingsworth

Cece Hollingsworth was a versatile contributor to the university from the time he was a three-sport star as a student in the 1920s. Hollingsworth was a team captain in football, wrestling and swimming, then began a career in 1925 as an assistant coach and head football scout for more than two decades. He also coached wrestling and gymnastics at UCLA. Through it all, he taught in the department of physical education for 30 years before retiring to golf management and community interests.
Hollingsworth was a charter member of the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984.
