Denise Curry's basketball career ended in 1981, but she's still the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. In 1990, UCLA retired her uniform number (12). After college, Curry played professional basketball in Europe for eight years. She was an assistant coach with the San Jose franchise of the American Basketball League in 1997 and went on to become the head coach at Cal State Fullerton.

Curry, who is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, was inducted into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.
