Doug Partie

Doug Partie was a starter and key performer on UCLA's nearly unbeatable national-championship volleyball teams from 1981-1984. He played on the United States national team starting in 1985 and won various medals, including a gold at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and a bronze at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. From 1989-1991, Partie played in the top Italian League and was a two-time all-star selection there. On the Pro Beach Volleyball circuit, Doug was a four-year captain for team Speedo, a league all-star selection in 1991 and 1992, and a member of the Bud Light tour champions in 1992. In 1995, he led Team Sideout to the regular-season title and was named MVP while leading the league in hitting and kill percentage.
