A Bruin golf letterman from 1982-85, Waldorf was a two-time NCAA All-American and a two-time All-Pac-10 First-Team selection. During his senior year in 1985, Waldorf concluded his Bruin career with a host of honors. He won the Pac-10 individual title and was selected as both the Pac-10 and the NCAA Player of the Year while earning a spot on the U.S. Walker Cup team. Waldorf joined Corey Pavin as one of two Bruins to have earned NCAA Player of the Year honors. Waldorf turned pro after graduating and his first PGA Tour victory was the 1996 LaCantera Texas Open. In 17 professional seasons, Waldorf has four PGA TOUR victories and has earned more than $6.7 million.
