A silky smooth forward on UCLA's basketball national champions in 1972 and 1973, Keith Wilkes (later known as Jamaal Wilkes) was a two-time All-America choice and a three-time Academic All-America selection. Golden State's first-round draft choice after his Bruin career ended, Wilkes earned rookie of the year honors for the Warriors' NBA-championship team in 1975. He earned three more title rings with the Lakers and was an all-star three times in his 12-year career.
Wilkes, who joined the new ABA in 2000 as the Los Angeles Stars' vice president of basketball operations, was a charter member of the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984.
