Willie Naulls

"Wonderful Willie" Naulls starred for John Wooden's basketball teams from 1954-56 at center and forward. He led the Bruins in scoring and in rebounding all three seasons. After his UCLA career, Naulls went on to play 10 seasons in the NBA, six with the New York Knicks and his last four seasons with the NBA-champion Boston Celtics.
After his NBA career, Naulls became a business entrepeneur. In 1970, Naulls founded a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of underpriviliged youth in Southern California. He was on the Board of Directors of the UCLA Alumni Association. He has chaired the Ralph Bunche Scholarship Committee for a number of years, also at UCLA. In 1981, Naulls earned the NCAA's distinguished Silver Anniversary Top Five Award. In the early 1990s, he became an ordained minister and started a non-profit organization to help underpriviliged youth.
