Bruins Finish 11th at TaylorMade Big Island Classic

The 14th ranked UCLA mens golf team finished 11th at the TaylorMade Big Island Classic in Hawaii Saturday and redshirt freshman Parker McLachlin tied for ninth place at 225.
The Bruins 927 team total was 34 shots off the pace set by first place finisher Georgia Tech. The University of Washington captured second place at 910.
Georgia Techs Matt Kuchar and Carlton Forrester shared medalist honors with 54-hole totals of 221.
Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Kevin Bodlovich, whose first round 68 was among the early leaders, finished with a 54-hole total of 234, tied for 42nd. Senior B.J. Schlagenhauf tied for 61st with teammate Jason Semelsberger at 237, and sophomore Mike Vera tied for 74th at 240.
The Bruins will next compete at the Southwestern Intercollegiates, hosted by USC, at the North Ranch Country Club, Mar. 1-2.
