Los Angeles -- The fifth-ranked UCLA women's soccer team won its eighth-straight match Sunday, downing Loyola Marymount, 3-0 at LMU's Sullivan Field. The Bruins have not lost a match since a 1-0 loss to then-No. 6 Clemson back on Aug. 25.

UCLA took the lead in the 23rd minute of the game when junior midfielder Courtney Wright scored off a corner kick from junior Bethany Bogart. It was Wright's first goal as a Bruin after transferring from George Washington last season.

Just eight minutes later, at the 30:44 mark, junior Staci Duncan put the Bruins up 2-0, again off a corner kick from Bogart. Senior forward Tracey Milburn added another insurance goal at the 83:52 mark, firing a hard shot from 20 yards out which curved into the upper-left portion of the net. Milburn's goal was unassisted.

Bruin goalkeeper CiCi Peterson, who set the UCLA single-season record for consecutive shutouts with five in UCLA's 3-0 win over Fresno State on Friday, now has six. She has not given up a goal since a 6-1 UCLA win over Georgia back on Sept. 1.

One side note in the match, UCLA head coach Jillian Ellis received a red card for arguing a call late in the game. As a result, she will have to miss UCLA's match this Friday against No. 22 Marquette at Spaulding Field beginning at 7:30 p.m.
