No. 7 Women's Soccer Falls in Overtime to No. 6 Washington

SEATTLE - Despite outshooting the Huskies 25-3, the No. 7 UCLA women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision in overtime Sunday to No. 6 Washington before a school-record crowd of 3,403 at Husky Soccer Field.
Washington's Tami Bennett's was able to notch the game-winning goal on just her first and the team's third shot of the game. UCLA (12-2-1, 3-1-1) suffered its first conference loss despite controlling the run of play and posting a 25-3 advantage in shots.
Washington's Jaime Carstensen dribbled the ball down the right side and pushed a pass to Bennett in the middle. Bennett controlled the ball and drilled a low 20-yard shot past the diving Bruin goalkeeper CiCi Peterson and inside the left post at 93:25.
The Bruins return home this week to host Cal and Stanford in their final regular season weekend of the year.
