Los Angeles, CA -- The top-ranked UCLA Bruins tennis team remained undefeated on the season after defeating Kentucky, 7-0 this afternoon at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Bruins improved to 13-0 overall (5-0 Pac-10), while Kentucky falls to 7-6 overall (1-0 SEC) with the setback.

UCLA swept all the doubles matches to earn the first point of the match. At No. 1, the tandem of Jean-Julien Rojer and Jean-Noel Grinda defeated Edo Bowano and Johan Grunditz 8-5 to clinch the doubles point for the Bruins.

The Bruins were equally impressive in singles, as UCLA took all six matches. Erfan Djahangiri clinched the victory at No. 4, winning in straight sets over Gustav Pousette, 6-3, 6-4.

The Bruins return to action this Thursday (Mar. 15) in a match against Pepperdine at the LA Tennis Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm.
