Lam Takes Singles Title at So. Cal Intercollegiates

LOS ANGELES - UCLA men's tennis player Chris Lam won two matches Monday to claim the singles title at the Southern California Intercollegiates held at the Los Angeles Tennis Club.
Lam, a sophomore transfer out of Santa Clara and the tournament's No. 2 seed, began the day with a 6-4, 6-3 semifinal victory over San Francisco's Joachim Lien. He then defeated USC's Johan Berg, 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
In doubles action, top-seeded Tobias Clemens and Lassi Ketola from UCLA fell in the final to UC Irvine's Jon Endrikat and Brian Morton, 7-6, 7-5.
