Brandon Brooks Selected UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior goalkeeper Brandon Brooks (Honolulu, HI/Punahou HS) of the UCLA Men's Water Polo Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 1.

Brooks posted 13 saves in UCLA's win over top-ranked Stanford to become the Bruins' career saves leader with 700 over the course of his four-year career. His total surpassed Matt Swanson's mark of 695. His 13-save performance led the Bruins to their first win over Stanford since Nov. 4, 2000 and helped UCLA earn a third-place finish in the MPSF Tournament.

Over the course of the weekend, Brooks posted 28 saves to average 9.33 saves per contest. He also never allowed more than seven goals in a match during the tournament, averaging 5.911 goals allowed, the lowest average of the tournament.

This is Brooks' first UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and his career.
