Freshman Kate Richardson (Coquitlam, BC/Port Moody Secondary) of the UCLA Women's Gymnastics Team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week of Mar. 25-30.

Richardson won the all-around and floor exercise titles at the Pac-10 Championships on March 29, leading UCLA to its 11th conference title and fourth title in the last five years. The Pac-10 Freshman of the Year set a meet record with a career-best all-around score of 39.825. She also claimed a share of the floor title with a perfect 10, her second of the season on floor. Richardson also placed second on vault with a career-high 9.975 and on beam with a 9.95. She placed seventh on bars with a 9.9.

Richardson's performance propelled UCLA to a Championship record 198.125 team score.

This is Richardson's second UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
