Champaign, Ill. (AP) - Angelina Williams finished one point shy of her career high, scoring 30 points as Illinois upset No. 16 UCLA 78-63 on Sunday.

Williams' 3-pointer sparked a 12-2 second-half run, and lifted the Illini to a lead they never relinquished. Illinois shot a season-high 60 percent from the field.

The victory was the Illini's second over a ranked team this season. Illinois beat then-No. 21 Louisiana Tech 71-65 in overtime on Dec. 4.

Bruins guard Nikki Blue paced UCLA (6-2) with 17 points and Lisa Willis added 15.

Illinois (6-2) gained control by dominating the boards in the second half, outrebounding the Bruins 20-10 and 37-27 overall.

Illinois freshman Danyel Crutcher notched her second career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Williams added six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
