
Noelle Quinn Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Freshman Noelle Quinn (Los Angeles, CA/Bishop Montgomery HS) of the UCLA Women's Basketball Team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 17-22.
Quinn, this week's Pac-10 Player of the Week, averaged 19.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in games vs. Cal and Stanford. In UCLA's 97-69 win over Cal on Thursday, she recorded the first triple-double in the Pac-10 this year and the first by a UCLA player since Erica Gomez in 1996, registering 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. She shot 10-19 from the field and also had four steals and one block.
This is Quinn's second UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
Also nominated: Jeanette Antolin, W. Gymnastics (scored a career-high 39.875 and perfect 10s on vault and floor as UCLA tied the all-time national scoring record); T.J. Cummings, M. Basketball (surpassed 1,000 career points and had a double-double in the win over Cal); Keira Goerl, Softball (had a 0.00 ERA, 2-0 record and one save at the Palm Springs Classic); Casey Janssen, Baseball (struck out 10 batters in eight innings as UCLA defeated Pacific, 6-1); Steve Klosterman, M. Volleyball (career-high 24 kills vs. UCSB in 3-1 victory); Kristina Kunkel, W. Water Polo (scored twice in 5-2 win over UCSB).
