No. 2 Bruins open Gaucho Tournament play with 14-3 win over Pacific

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UCLA Women's Water Polo Team began Gaucho Tournament play this morning with a convincing 14-3 victory over Pacific. After holding a slim 3-2 lead after one period the Bruins scored four goals in the second period and never looked back outscoring Pacific 11-1 in the final three periods to earn the victory. With the win the Bruins advanced to play No. 10 Hawaii later in the day.
Katherine Belden and Kacy Kunkel each notched a hat trick for UCLA, with Molly Cahill adding two goals and Paloma Slezak, Kristina Kunkel, Jenna Murphy, Rosie Carreras, Lauren Heineck and Brittney Bowlus each scoring once.
