No. 1 Bruins Have Two Convincing Wins on First Day of Michigan Invitational

Ann Arbor, MI - The number one ranked UCLA Bruins dominated their first two games of the 2005 season. In their first game of the day, they defeated No. 11 Indiana 14-2. Only hours later, the Bruins showed a decisive victory, beating Colorado State 22-0. The 22 goal count is the second highest goal total that any UCLA women's water polo team has ever scored, only second to 24 in 1998 against Long Beach State, a year in which they won the national championship.

In their game against Indiana, the Bruins outscored the Hoosiers 4-1 in the first quarter and didn't look back.  They put up three goals in the second and third quarter and four again in the fourth.  Natalie Golda and Kristina Kunkel were the leading scorers with 3 goals each.
