
Willis Leads Bruins To Victory Over Cougars

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Junior Lisa Willis scored a season-high 25 points, leading No. 22 UCLA to an 89-69 victory over Washington State on Friday night.
Willis made five 3-pointers and finished with six rebounds and four steals. Sophomore Amanda Livingston scored 11 points, and teammates Lindsey Pluimer and Noelle Quinn each added 10 for UCLA (10-3 4-0 Pac-10).
Emma Joneby had 12 points and 12 rebounds, and sophomore Adriane Ferguson added 11 points for the Cougars (4-10, 0-5). Juniors Ariana Scales and Charmaine Jones each scored 10.
The Bruins, who shot a season-best 54.3 percent, led 37-34 at the break. Willis hit consecutive 3-points to extend UCLA's lead to 10 points in the second half. Washington State never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.
