Meriwether had two impressive performances in UCLA's wins over Oregon State and Oregon. For the week, she hit .442 with 29 kills for a 3.62 per-game average and had 17 blocks (9 BS/8 BA) for a 2.12 per-game average. In Thursday night's three-game win at Oregon State, she had 14 kills on 23 attacks with four errors for a .435 attack percentage, contributing to UCLA's .328 team attack percentage in the match. She also had a block solo against OSU. On Friday night in Eugene, Meriwether played a huge role in UCLA's five-game win over Oregon, downing 15 kills on 29 attacks with two errors for a .448 attack percentage to go along with two digs and a school-record 16 blocks in the match (8 solo/8 assists).

Those 16 blocks are the most in UCLA program history in a five-game match, topping the 15 total blocks recorded by both Natalie Williams and Lisa Hudak on Nov. 3, 1990, in a match against Hawaii. Meriwether's eight solo blocks in the match tie UCLA's school record set by Hudak on Sept. 1, 1989, vs. Loyola Marymount. The only blocking performance in school history better than Meriwether's on Friday night was turned in by Kathy Herse, who had 17 total blocks in a three-game match vs. Hawaii on Oct. 10, 1981.

This is Meriwether's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
