
Candice Baucham Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior Candice Baucham (Inglewood, CA/Long Beach Poly HS) of the UCLA Women's Track & Field Team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of June 9-12.
Baucham scored a total of 14 points for UCLA at the NCAA Championships, helping lead the Bruins to a second-place team finish. She became UCLA's first-ever NCAA women's triple jump champion, winning the crown with a leap of 46-2. Her mark was a meet, Pac-10 and UCLA record, as well as a U.S.-leading mark that ranks fifth on the all-time collegiate list and ties for sixth on the all-time U.S. chart. Baucham also scored four points for the Bruins in the long jump, placing fifth with a mark of 20-9.25. She earned her first long jump All-America honor and finishes her career as a four-time All-American.
This is Baucham's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
