Junior guard Noelle Quinn (Los Angeles, CA/Bishop Montgomery HS) of the UCLA Women's Basketball team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week (Jan. 23-29).

With a pair of double-doubles, Quinn led UCLA to a weekend sweep against #11 Stanford (90-80) and California (90-87, ot) that propelled the Bruins into a tie for second place in the Pac-10. Quinn, this week's Pac-10 Player of the Week, recorded a season-high 25 points to go along with 10 rebounds, four assists and zero turnovers in the win over Stanford, UCLA's first against the Cardinal since 2000. Against Cal, she equaled her season-best with 25 points and also added 11 rebounds and a season-high seven assists. In the overtime period, Quinn gave UCLA a quick three-point lead with a three-pointer at the 4:31 mark, and her free throws with six seconds remaining clinched the win for UCLA. In addition, with her fourth point against Stanford, Quinn became the 22nd Bruin player to record 1,000 career points. She now has 1,046 to rank 21st on the all-time UCLA list. Quinn's double-doubles give her a total of six on the season and 17 in her career. She has three double-doubles in her last four games and has scored 20 points or more in four straight games and in five of her last six games.

This is Quinn's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and fifth of her career.
