
Kohlloeffel, Surapol and Dehaine All Advance at ITA Regionals

Malibu, Calif. - UCLA's Benjamin Kohlloeffel, Chris Surapol and Mathieu Dehaine all won singles matches Friday to advance to the quarterfinals at the Wilson/ITA West Region Championships hosted by Pepperdine University.
Kohlloeffel, the tournament's top seed and defending champion, downed San Diego's Thomas Liversage, 5-7, 6-3, 6-1. He will next face eighth-seeded Andre Begemann on Pepperdine on Saturday.
Surapol, seeded second, was a 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 winner over USC's Dejan Cvetkovic, setting up a meeting with seventh-seeded Markus Dickhardt of SDSU. The other Bruin to advance Friday was Dehaine, who posted a 6-0, 6-3 victory over UC Santa Barbara's Jack Hui. Dehaine, seeded fifth, will meet third-seeded Jamil Al-Agba of USC.
The only Bruin to fall on Friday was sixth-seeded Haythem Abid, who had to withdraw in his match against Loyola Marymount's Reyniere Roxas due to injury.
Second-seeded Kohlloeffel and Surapol are still alive in the doubles draw, as are fifth-seeded Dehaine and Jeremy Drean.
