Bruins lose hard-fought battle in Stanford Invitational Championship, 10-8

Palo Alto, CA - UCLA finished the day with a 6-1 record after two more games at the Stanford Invitational. In the morning, the Bruins defeated No. 16 ASU 14-5. In that game, the team set the UCLA record with 40 straight inter-season wins.
Later that day in the championship game of the tournament, UCLA lost to USC, 10-8. The Bruins were held scoreless in the fourth quarter, while USC scored two goals to break an 8-8 tie and win the championship.
