
Bruin Blues Build 15-Shot Lead at Pala Mesa Invitational

The UCLA men's Golf Blue Team was in first place after one round at the Pala Mesa Invitational, hosted by Drake University at the Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook.
The Bruins posted rounds of 285 (-3) and 277 (-11) for a 36-hole total of 562 (-14) and held a 15-stroke lead entering the final round. Cal State San Marcos was second at 577 (+1), followed by the Arizona Blue Team at 581 (+5), Oklahoma Christian at 582 (+6) and the San Diego State JV Team at 584 (+8).
Individually for the Bruins, freshman Lucas Lee and sophomore Craig Leslie were tied for first place at five-under par 139. Lee posted rounds of 72-67 and Leslie carded scores of 68-71. Sophomore Brandon Christianson and junior Peter Campbell were tied for fourth place at two-under 142. Christianson turned in rounds of 73-69 and Campbell posted scores of 72-70. Tied for 49th place at 154 (+10) was sophomore Matt Marshall.
Final round action continues on Tuesday.
