Junior Katie Nelson (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA/Peninsula HS) of the UCLA Swimming & Diving team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week (Feb. 20-26).

Nelson won UCLA's only individual title at the Pac-10 Championships, winning the 1650 free in a season-best and NCAA automatic time of 16:18.00. Her time was nearly eight seconds better than second-place Kalyn Keller, an Olympian from USC. Nelson's win helped UCLA finish in second place at the Championships with 1,246.5 points.
