Senior Jacqueline Nguyen led the Bruin women on Saturday at the Northridge Invitational as she jumped a season-best and regional qualifying mark of 13-3.50 to win the pole vault. On the day, the Bruins had four individual event winners, two relay wins and five NCAA regional qualifying marks.

Senior Kamaiya Warren won the shot put competition with a toss of 50-6.75. The mark was a regional qualifier, but she has a better mark this season. Warren also picked up a regional qualifier in the discus, with a season-best throw of 156-9 to finish sixth in that event.

In the 800m, freshman Rosa Magana ran a season-best 2:15.80 to win the event, while junior Claire Rethmeier won the 1500m in a time of 4:30.39.

The 4x800m (8:55.77) and sprint medley (1:46.05) relay teams also won on Saturday.

Other Bruin finishers in the top-three were - Ciara Viehweg, 3rd in the 1500m (4:36.60/lifetime-best); Maryann Wee, 3rdT in the high jump (5-7); Ingrid Kantola, 2nd in the pole vault (12-5.50); Leslie Rychel, 3rd in the long jump (19-2); and Tara Ross, 3rd in the javelin (142-6/regional).

The Bruins will not compete next week due to finals, but will return to action the following week when they split for two big meets - the Stanford Invitational and Cal/Nevada Championships.
