
No. 6 UCLA Men's Tennis Takes 6-1 Victory over Duke

LOS ANGELES - The sixth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team closed out a five-match homestand on Wednesday, taking a 6-1 victory over Duke at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Bruins, who improve to 12-1 overall, will take the next two weeks off from competition for final exams and spring break.
For the 11th time in 13 matches this season the Bruins took the doubles point, sweeping the Blue Devils (3-6) on all three courts. UCLA's Mathieu Dehaine and Holden Seguso clinched the point at court No. 2, posting an 8-6 decision over Reid Carleton and Kiril Dimitrov.
The Bruin duo continued their dominance over Carleton and Dimitrov in singles, as both players turned in decisive victories to give UCLA a 3-0 lead. Seguso was first to finish, downing Carleton 6-3, 6-0 at court No. 3, while Dehaine was a 6-0, 6-3 winner over Dimitrov at court No. 2.
Freshman Nick Meister ended up clinching the match for UCLA at the No. 6 spot, as his 6-3, 6-2 win over Alex Stone gave the Bruins an insurmountable 4-0 advantage.
Duke's lone point on the day came at court No. 4, as Dylan Arnould fought off two match points in a third set super tiebreaker to down junior Michael Look, 6-7(5), 6-3, (11-9).
Seniors Jeremy Drean (court No. 5) and Harel Srugo (court No. 1) were also straight-set winners on Wednesday.
UCLA will not be in action again until it hosts Loyola Marymount on March 25 at 1:30 p.m.
