The No.1 ranked UCLA women's golf team won its fifth event in six starts this season, capturing first place at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational, hosted by the Peninsula Golf Club in Sonora, Mexico.

The Bruins won by nine shots over Arizona State and USC, two teams it has battled all season for supremacy in women's college golf. For Coach Carrie Forsyth, the victory marked her 30th career title in nine-and-a-half years at UCLA.

In Tuesday's final round, the Bruins posted a one-under par 287 -- the day's best score -- and compiled a 54-hole total of 869 (+5). Arizona State and USC tied for second at 878 (+14), followed by fourth-place Oklahoma State at 888 (+24) and fifth-place Pepperdine at 889 (+25).

Sophomore Glory Yang coninued her stellar play this season, tying for seventh at one-over par 217. She carded a cool, two-under par 70, the team's best individual score in the final round. Maria Jose Uribe tied for 12th at 219 (+3) after posting a 71 (-1) on Tuesday. Seniors Tiffany Joh and Ryann O'Toole tied for 18th and 30th, respectively.
