Bruins Fall to Trojans at ITA National Team Indoors

Charlottesville, Va. - The fourth-seeded UCLA men's tennis team suffered its second loss in as many days at the ITA National Team Indoors on Sunday, as top-seeded USC notched a 4-0 victory over the Bruins in a consolation match at the Boars Head Sports Club.
The Bruins' best chance to get on the board on Sunday came in doubles, as Haythem Abid and Holden Seguso were beaten in a tiebreaker at court No. 1 in a match that would've given UCLA the doubles point. Prior to the loss at court No. 1, UCLA's Amit Inbar and Nick Meister downed Robert Farah and Jason McNaughton, 8-6 at court No. 2.
After the heartbreaking defeat in doubles, UCLA was unable to regroup in singles, as the Trojans recorded three straight-set singles wins for the 4-0 victory. Peter Lucassen clinched the match for USC with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Matt Brooklyn at court No. 4.
The Bruins will look to get back in the win column next week, hosting San Diego State at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
