The 13th-ranked UCLA men's golf team finished eighth at the 20th Annual Mauna Lani Invitational Friday at the North Course in Waikoloa, HI.

The Bruins finished 19 strokes behind Stanford, which took the title with a 54-hole team score of 866 (+2) after posting a final round score of two-under par 286. Oregon tied for second place with Washington at 869 (+5), followed by fourth-place Texas at 870 (+6). Top-ranked Oklahoma State placed fifth at 886 (+7).

The Bruins placed eighth at 885 (+21), one shot ahead of USC.

Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Gregor Main tied for 10th at 217 (+1) after posting a final round score of 74 (+2). Sophomore Alex Shit Yup Kim tied for 17th at 218 (+2) after firing a 72 (E) on Friday. Freshman Pontus Widegren tied for 40th at six-over par 222 after posting a 77 (+5). Freshmen Pedro Figueiredo and Bobby Lange tied for 67th and 78th, respectively, after each posting a 75 (+3).

Texas's Bobby Hudson won medalist honors with a seven-under par total of 209 (-7). He fired a six-under par 66 in the final round.
