LOS ANGELES (AP) - J'Covan Brown scored 22 points, Myck Kabongo added 13 and Texas rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat UCLA, 69-59, on Saturday afternoon at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.
After a brief area power outage that delayed the game for nearly 15 minutes, Texas outscored the Bruins by a 9-4 margin over the final 3:59 of the first half. UCLA led at halftime, 34-28.
Lazeric Jones scored a season-high 21 points and Travis Wear added 13 for the Bruins (2-5).
Texas opened the second half on a 12-6 run to tie the game, 40-40. The Longhorns took their first lead on Kabongo's open layup that keyed an 11-3 spurt.
UCLA opened its largest lead of the game, 30-19, with 4:52 left in the first half after Joshua Smith made a free throw.
UCLA returns to action against Penn at the Honda Center (Anaheim, Calif.) on Saturday, Dec. 10. Game time is 4 p.m.
