
Clark, Crawford, DiCesare & Perez Highlight Men's Track At MPSF Indoor Championships

Jonathan Clark, Scott Crawford, Casey DiCesare and Trent Perez highlighted the men's track and field team on the final day of the MPSF Indoor Championships in Seattle, WA as all four posted event wins.
Clark posted the No. 10 triple jump in the NCAA this season with his career-best leap of 52-9.25. Clark finished second overall and improved on his season-best by nearly a foot during the competition. Clark also cleared an indoor lifetime-best of 6-10.25 in the high jump to finish eighth overall.
Crawford won the 800m with a lifetime-best run of 1:50.28. DiCesare, who was competing in his first multi-event competition since his freshman year, finished second overall in the heptathlon with a score of 5414 points. The senior won the pole vault competition with a clearance of 16-7.50, was 11th in the 60 hurdles (8.95) and was 10th in the 1000m (2:54.54).
Junior Trent Perez was fifth in the heptathlon as he scored a lifetime-best 5151 points. Perez was 10th in the 60 hurdles (8.88), second in the pole vault (15-7.75) and first in the 1000m (2:41.93).
In the shot put, senior Bo Taylor was eighth with a mark of 56-5.25. Junior Kent Morikawa ran a lifetime-best of 8:01.38 to finish fourth in the 3000m. Freshman Philip MacQuitty was fourth in the 800m (1:51.29). The 4x400m relay of sophomores David Klarer and Maxwell Dyce, junior Karlton Rolle and senior Quentin Powell finished sixth in a time of 3:13.56.
A few athletes will head to last chance qualifiers next weekend with the hopes of qualifying for NCAAs.
