
Bruins Finish Fall Preview

The UCLA's Women's Golf team finished the final round of the Liz Murphey Fall Preview on Sunday, climbing up the standings into a tie for 8th to close out the tournament.
The Bruins concluded the final day of play with a score of 294 (+6), finishing deadlocked with #22 Texas A&M with a 54-hole total of 893 (+29). UCLA climbed out of a three-way tie for 11th, posting the sixth-best score of the final round to finish ahead of the University of Denver and Tennessee, in 10th and 11th respectively.
Individually, the Bruins were headed once more by senior Lee Lopez. Lopez finished at 71 (-1) on the day to moved up into a tie for 20th overall on the tournament. Closely following was sophomore Erynne Lee, whose 73 (+1) placed her in a tie for 10th overall after the final round. Junior Ani Gulugian and freshman Louise Ridderstrom both carded a 75 (+3) to finish the weekend, and sophomore Kyle Roig closed out her tournament with an 82 (+10).
Elsewhere in the tournament, Auburn experienced a brutal final day, scoring a 303 (+15) to drop out of first place and into a tie for third with #8 USC, all evened up at 883 (+19). The void atop the standings was gladly filled by North Carolina, as the Tarheels notched the best score of the final round with a 290 (+2) to move into first with a 54-hole score of 876 (+12). Alabama followed, posting a 295 (+5) to finish at 880 (+16) and in second place.
