
Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Stanford

The fourth-ranked UCLA men's golf team finished in fourth place on Sunday at the U.S. Intercollegiate, hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Course.
The Bruins posted a 54-hole team score of 852 (+12) and finished behind Oregon 841 (+1), USC (842 (+2) and Stanford 849 (+9). Washington placed fifth at 863 (+23).
Individually for the Bruins, four players recorded Top 10 results, although two of them were unattached competitors. Junior Pedro Figueiredo tied for second place at 209 (-1) after firing a final round score of 68 (-2). He tied with teammate Jay Hwang, competing as an individual. Hwang also posted a 68 (-2) on Sunday. Junior Pontus Widegren tied for eighth place at 211 (+1), following a 68 (-2) in the last round. Sophomore Anton Arboleda, another UCLA individual competitor, also tied with Widegren at 211 (+1) following his final round 70 (E).
Senior Alex Shi Yup Kim tied for 17th place at 215 (+5) after posting a 74 (+4) on Sunday and junior Mario Clemens tied for 37th following his score of 75 (+5). Freshman Matt Pinizzotto tied for 46th at 223 (+13) after carding a final round score of 74 (+4).
Oregon's Daniel Miernicki won medalist honors with a three-round total of 204 (-6) after posting a 66 (-4) in the last round.
