
Bruins Second after Opening Round at Pac-12 Championship

Four UCLA golfers were among the Top 20 individuals after the opening round of the inaugural Pac-12 Conference Women's Golf Championship Friday, hosted by Washington State at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course.
The top-ranked Bruins posted an opening round score of 304 (+16) and were in second place following the first day of competition. Fifth-ranked Arizona State held the lead at 11-over par 299. Third-ranked USC was tied for third at 306 (+18) with No. 13 Cal, and Oregon was fifth at 307 (+19).
Freshman Erynne Lee, who won the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate on Apr. 15, was in second place after posting a 74 (+2) on Friday. Junior Lee Lopez was tied for seventh after carding a score of 76 (+4). Tied for 16th were senior Brianna Do and junior Tiffany Lua at 77 (+5), and sophomore Ani Gulugian was tied for 25th at 78 (+6).
Arizona State's Giulia Molinaro fired an opening round 71 (-1) and was the leader in the clubhouse after round one.
The second round continues Saturday.
