Sparked by an eight-under par score of 352 in the second round, the second-ranked UCLA men's golf team assumed the 36-hole lead at the inaugural Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Oregon State at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore.

The Bruins (719, -1) held a three-shot lead over Oregon (722, +2) at the halfway point of the tournament. Cal and USC were tied for third at 724 (+4), followed by fifth-place Oregon State at 727 (+7).

Sophomore Patrick Cantlay led the Bruins with scores of 69-70--139 (-5) and was in third place. Tied for fourth was junior Pedro Figueiredo at 140 (-4) after posting rounds of 71-69. Sophomore Anton Arboleda was tied for 10th place at 143 (-1) following scores of 73-70. Freshman Jay Hwang was tied for 33rd place at 148 (+4) after carding scores of 79-69 and senior Alex Shi Yup Kim was tied for 37th at 149 (+5) after posting scores of 75-74. Junior Pontus Widegren signed for scores of 79-76--155 (+11) and was tied for 64th.

Oregon's Eugene Wong was the 36-hole leader at 137 (-7) following rounds of 69-68.
