The no. 7 ranked UCLA Women's Golf Team is gearing up for the Pac-12 Championship this week with a little extra added incentive: they're hosting it.

Starting Monday, eleven teams will vie for the conference title at Valencia Country Club through 54 holes over a three-day period. The field, reflecting the strength of the conference, is stacked, featuring six teams ranked in the top 12 nationally by Golfworld. That means that the Bruins, looking to improve upon last year's 4th place finish, will have to go through #1 USC, #8 Arizona, #10 Washington, #12 ASU, and #12 Stanford to do so.

UCLA last won the conference title in 2006, having won it also in 2005 and 2004. The Bruins will capture their 6th total with a team victory this week. UCLA will look to senior Tiffany Lua for leadership, as the standout looks to cap her final season by building upon a 2nd-place overall finish from last year. Backing her up will be fellow senior Lee Lopez, junior Ani Gulugian, sophomore Erynne Lee, and freshman Louise Ridderstrom.

The Valencia Country Club course plays to a par 72 over 6,300 yards. Scores will be posted by the Pac-12 conference here at the end of each round, but those looking to follow live scoring can do so here on Golfstat. Tee times are listed here.
