Bruins Tied for Second after Round One in Tennessee

The fourth-ranked UCLA women's golf team finished the opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championship in a tie for second place at the Legends North Course in Franklin, TN.

The Bruins posted a one-over par team score of 289 (+1) and trailed first-place Arizona State by four shots. The Sun Devils came in at three-under par 285. Auburn was fourth at 290 (+2), followed by North Carolina State in fifth place at 291 (+3). UCLA was tied with Vanderbilt.

Individually for UCLA, sophomore Louise Ridderstrom and freshmen Alison Lee and Bronte Law were tied for 14th place at even par 72. Junior Erynne Lee was tied for 30th with a score of 73 (+1) and senior Ani Gulugian was tied for 78th at 79 (+7).

Alabama's Stephanie Meadow and Baylor's Hayley Davis were the co-leaders after each posted rounds of 68 (-4) on Friday.

Second round competition continues on Saturday.
