The Bruins posted a team score of six-over par 294 and had a two-round total of five-over par 581. Texas overtook Virginia for the second round lead. The Longhorns were at 10-under par 566 while the Cavaliers were one shot back at 567 (-9). Texas A & M was third at 570 (-6) followed by fourth place Wake Forest at four-under 572. Auburn and LSU were tied for fifth at 575 (-1) with LSU posting the day's best score of 279 (-9). Only four teams managed to break par on Saturday.
Individually, senior Manav Shah led the Bruins in the second round with a two-under par score of 70. He was tied for 23rd with teammate Jonathan Garrick at even par 144. Garrick posted a 75 (+3). Junior Jake Knapp was tied for 50th at 148 (+4) following a round of 74 (+2) and senior Preston Valder was tied for 59th at six-over par 150 after a score of 75 (+3). Junior Lorens Chan had the drop score of 76 (+4), and was tied for 37th place at two-over par 146.
Virginia's Denny McCarthy was the 36-hole leader at nine-under par 135 following a round of even par 72.
