
Golfers Tied for Fifth after Round One in Las Vegas

The Bruins posted a team score of 299 (+11) and were 10 shots off the lead set by UNLV (289, +1). Oklahoma State was second at 293 (+5), followed by third-place Oklahoma at 296 (+8). Stanford was fourth at 297 (+9), followed by UCLA and Alabama.
Individually, sophomore Jonathan Garrick was tied for third after posting an opening round score of 71 (-1). Tied for 14th was sophomore Lorens Chan with a 74 (+2) and tied for 22nd was senior Anton Arboleda, who carded a 75 (+3). Junior Matt Pinizzotto was tied for 46th with a score of 79 (+7) and junior Jay Hwang signed for an 80 (+9) and was tied for 52nd.
Oklahoma State's Wyndham Clark was the first round leader after posting a two-under par 70.
