LOS ANGELES -- The top-ranked UCLA Bruins improved to 22-0 on the year and 6-0 in the MPSF with an impressive 11-5 win over No. 2 Pacific (20-3, 6-1) on Sunday afternoon at Dirks Pool at Spieker Aquatics Center. The win marked the Bruins' 25th-straight victory, dating back to last year, which is the second-longest winning streak in school history. The all-time record is 50, which was established from 1964-68.

The Bruins improved to 44-4 all-time against Pacific and has now won 21 straight MPSF games. The last time UCLA lost a league game was an 8-6 setback at Stanford on Oct. 19, 2013.

UCLA was led by junior Ryder Roberts who scored three goals to lead all scorers. Junior Garrett Danner registered 12 saves in the cage for the Bruins.

Ben Stevenson scored the game's first goal on a power play (6:13) to put Pacific out in front. But the Bruins got an equalizer from Roberts on a counter attack (4:12). After Devon Thumwood's penalty conversion put the Tigers up 2-1 (2:55), the Bruins tied it on a skip shot from junior Patrick Fellner (1:54) and then took the lead off a goal by sophomore Max Irving (1:08). UCLA led 3-2 at the end of the first period.

Pacific tied the game at 3-3 with another exclusion score, this time by Krisztian Laczkovics (5:58). But UCLA would regain the lead off a score from the front court by junior Chancellor Ramirez (2:53). The Bruins led 5-3 at the break after sophomore Alex Roelse added another score from the front court (2:16).

What had been a weakness earlier in the year, has now turned into a strength, as the Bruins dominated the third period, 3-0. Irving scored his second of the game on a coutner (4:19) and Roberts added his second after a nice spin move and score from two meters (3:39) to put UCLA up 7-3. Fellner then scored his second of the game from the front court (1:59) to end the scoring in the third with UCLA leading 8-3.

UCLA opened the scoring in the fourth, scoring its sixth straight goal when Roberts completed his hat trick with a score from the front court (7:31) to put the Bruins up 9-3. Alex Obert scored after an ordinary foul from five meters to cut it to 9-4 (7:15). But Ramirez found the back of the net from the front court (6:49) on the next possession to push the lead to 10-4. Thumwood scored his second of the game on a power play (4:54) to trim the lead to 10-5. Senior Anthony Daboub scored his first goal and the game's final goal (3:51) to provide the 11-5 final.

Danner played entire game in the cage for UCLA and added five steals and one assist to go with his 12 saves. Brady Moore played the entire match in goal for the Tigers, surrendering 11 goals while making 14 stops.

UCLA went 0-for-5 on power plays while the Tigers went 2-for-7. Pacific went 1-for-1 on penalty shots while UCLA didn't attempt one.

The Bruins return to action on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m. when they host No. 6 UC Santa Barbara (14-8, 3-3).
